Group Therapy

Evidence-Based Group Therapy

Group therapy differs from individual therapy by holding therapeutic sessions in a group setting run by a therapist instead of in a private one-on-one setting. The presence of a licensed mental health therapist and therapeutic curriculum sets group therapy apart from support groups. In group sessions, clients share their thoughts and experiences with the group, allowing them to be supported by others with similar or related issues. This can foster a sense of community or peer support with others who are going through similar things while giving you access to valuable therapeutic services.

Group therapy’s effectiveness lies in its ability to help you learn evidence-based therapeutic skills while also feeling connected with other people and their experiences. These therapist-guided sessions will help you learn more about yourself and how to improve the way you feel while feeling support from others.
